Iron Forage

Content, SEO & Web Development
Iron Forage started as a way to turn a personal interest in fitness into a real content platform while giving me an opportunity to build and sharpen my skills across content, web development, SEO, and digital marketing.
I wanted to create something from the ground up that I could own end-to-end, from designing and developing the website to creating content, building an SEO strategy, and using analytics to understand what was working.
The result is a 100% custom WordPress site covering workout gear, fitness technology, training, and the culture around fitness.
Built From the Ground Up
Iron Forage was a fully custom project. I designed and developed the site in WordPress rather than relying on a pre-built publication template, giving me complete control over the structure of the site.
Web Development
Custom WordPress site structure and design
Content Strategy
Editorial topics based on audience interests and search demand
SEO
Keyword research, on-page optimization, metadata, internal linking, and content structure
Analytics
Google Analytics and Search Console used to monitor traffic, engagement, and search performance

Through an ongoing focus on search-driven content and SEO optimization, IronForage built a strong organic acquisition channel.
One of Iron Forage's strongest-performing articles, a Christmas themed protein powder, generated more than 15,000 search impressions, demonstrating the ability to surface individual pieces of content to a meaningful search audience.
Building For Search
The content strategy was built around identifying topics with clear audience interest and opportunities for organic discovery.
I researched topics, developed articles, optimized pages for search, and used performance data to identify opportunities for future content.
The goal wasn't just to publish new content, but to build a site with sustainable organic traffic.
The Result
Iron Forage became a fully owned content platform built from the ground up, combining custom WordPress development, content strategy, SEO, and analytics into one project.
The site generated 67.6K search impressions, 738 organic clicks, and more than 86% of traffic from organic search, demonstrating the ability of the content and SEO strategy to attract an audience without relying on paid distribution.
